Children, Young People and Families Trainer
Location: Hybrid (applications welcome from all areas)
Salary: £32,000 – £34,000 per year
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Role Purpose
Are you an enthusiastic and passionate assessor looking to make a real difference?
We are seeking a reflective and creative Children, Young People & Families Trainer to join our learning and development team.

In this role, you will:
1.
Support and assess adult learners completing Children's Services qualifications including:
- TQUK Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (RQF)
- Children, Young People & Families Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard
- TQUK Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (RQF)
2.
Deliver a mix of virtual teaching and in-person workplace visits.

Provide tailored support to learners and employers to ensure successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote ELA and our qualifications to employers and learners.
- Enrol learners onto apprenticeships and short courses.
- Deliver information, advice, guidance, and initial assessments.
- Ensure compliance with ESFA funding rules, including ePortfolio updates and Off-the-Job Training records.
- Visit learners in their workplaces as needed.
- Track and document learner progress to support timely achievement.
- Deliver engaging teaching and learning for knowledge and functional skills.
- Mentor and coach learners, adapting to individual needs and barriers.
- Undertake continuous professional development, including maintaining your own qualification
- Collaborate closely with your line manager and the quality assurance team.

About You
Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year’s experience within a relevant vocational sector.
- Supervisory or managerial experience.
- Strong knowledge of Residential Childcare or related sector.
- Relevant industry qualifications (Residential Childcare Level 3 or above, AET/PTLLS, Assessor qualification).
- Assessing and/or teaching qualifications (desirable).
- Maths, English, and ICT to at least Level 2.

Minimum Requirements
- Eligible to work in the UK and confident travelling to learner workplaces.
- Relevant industry and assessor qualifications (Level 3 or above).
- Supervisory or training experience.
- Satisfactory references and enhanced DBS check.
- English, Maths, and ICT at Level 2 minimum.
